    Hey Ilias,

Finally get around to make an account. From now on will post questions here surrounding OSC. This month busy with creating an AV show and using OSC for communication between Live and Resolume. Now I wondered, I wanted to monitor the data being sent, but so far I concluded this is not possible while playing the show, at the same time.

So I can’t have multiple applications receive OSC on the same port or can I?

I noticed when I already had a port binded to an application, so resolume for example is on port 6000. When I tried to set TWO on 6000 I got this message:
‘binding to port -1 was successful’

but I think it’s supposed to be unsuccessful.

    Hi!

Exactly, IP addressing requires that you listen to your own unique port on a given network device.

There IS a way around this however, in the Router object. The Router takes data from n source Locations, and forwards all of it to n destination Locations.

So, you can add one source, and then send to two, to get the effect you want, with each one of the destinations then listening on a separate port.

Good luck with your work on the show, and by all means ask away on any question you may have!

    Best,
    Ilias B.
